In August 2021, as the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan dominated headlines, Egyptian journalist Ibrahim Nash’at focused on what would happen next. With unprecedented access, he spent a year embedded with the Taliban, witnessing its return to power. Inside the Hollywood Gate compound in Kabul, rumored to be a former CIA base, he shadowed members of the Taliban's newly formed air force as they attempted to rehabilitate billions of dollars’ worth of abandoned U.S. armaments. This observational documentary balances what the Taliban wants the world to see, with what Nash’at captures, highlighting the plight of the Afghan people and the cost of the longest war in U.S. history.

Tickets for this screening are general-admission and pay-what-you-can. The suggested ticket price is $20. If you can pay more, we greatly appreciate it!
