How Rentals Work
We love hosting events across our spaces, and we’re happy to work with you to find the right fit and set you up for success.
That being said, our rentals are largely “space only.” While our team will help you book your event and coordinate any in-house staffing, Circuit Arts does not provide event coordination services. You’ll be responsible for planning and running your event, with our staff on site to support the space itself.
As part of that process, we’ll help you think through which venue best suits your event, and may recommend a different space to ensure the best experience for you and your guests.
All rentals include a House Manager, who is present throughout your event to oversee the venue and serve as a resource. Depending on your event, additional technical staff may be required, particularly for film screenings and live stage use.
We offer optional add-ons, including additional staffing, concessions service, and ticketing support, to help round out your event.
Events must be booked at least 30 days in advance.

A few important notes:
Technical staff is required for film screenings and live stage events
The theaters cannot accommodate live Zoom or hybrid events
Live music events require a separate sound professional hired by the renter (we’re happy to share preferred vendors)
The Playhouse lobby is also available for gatherings

Drive-In rentals include both a venue manager and technical staff to run your screening.
As an outdoor venue, events are weather-dependent. While a little rain can be manageable, we do cancel in unsafe conditions, including heavy rain, high winds, or lightning. Decisions are made on the day of the event with care for both guests and equipment.
If a weather-related cancellation is made before your event begins, a partial refund of your deposit will be issued. If a screening is interrupted after it has started, refunds are not available, though rescheduling may be possible depending on availability.
The Drive-In is open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays in the summer, and is not available for rent on those days.

Grange Hall Theater
The second-story theater at the Grange Hall can accommodate 75 people, for screenings and live events. It has heating, air conditioning, wheelchair-accessibility, and on-site parking. Seating is a mixture of couches, loveseats, and comfortable single chairs.
The space is ideal for movie screenings, lectures, and discussion groups.
If you are interested in renting the Grange’s Main Hall, you must reach out to the Vineyard Preservation Trust. -

Martha's Vineyard Playhouse
The Playhouse theater has seating for up to 98 guests, and is well suited for film screenings and presentations. The space is fully climate controlled and wheelchair accessible.
The first floor lobby offers a welcoming area for pre- or post-event gatherings, making it easy to extend the experience beyond the program itself.
Together or separate, the theater and lobby create a flexible setting for presentations, screenings, and community events.

The Vineyard's Drive-In at the YMCA
Host your own screening under the stars at the Drive-In. With space for up to 60 cars, it’s a fun and flexible option for private events, fundraisers, and community gatherings.
Each rental includes a venue manager and technical staff to run your event. Concessions service can also be added, with classic movie snacks available for your guests to purchase.
Restrooms are available on site.
