Dirs. Andrew Jarecki and Charlotte Kaufman | Documentary | U.S.A. | 2025 | 1 hr. 57 min.
Followed by a discussion with director Andrew Jarecki
From acclaimed filmmaker Andrew Jarecki (Capturing the Friedmans, The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst), this new documentary exposes some of America’s most dangerous prisons, through the voices of those living inside them. Incarcerated men in Alabama risk their lives to uncover a hidden cover-up, revealing inhumane conditions, systemic abuse, and forced labor. A rare, unflinching foray into a world few outsiders will ever see, this powerful film reveals the failures of the justice system and the courage of those speaking out from within.
