A propulsive chronicle of the continuing fight for racial justice in America, this six-part HBO docuseries extends the legacy of the original 1987 civil rights television series of the same name. It highlights grassroots activism, criminal justice reform, and the rise of Black Lives Matter. Through archival footage and interviews, the series offers a powerful look at the enduring struggle for equality. This is a screening of the fifth episode, which explores the complexities of affirmative action policies and how a changing demographic landscape affected school desegregation in new ways.

Produced by Mike Benjamin and the Vineyard Preservation Trust, this free, lively, and family-friendly concert series features top local bands, a welcoming summer atmosphere, and plenty of good vibes. Bring a picnic or grab food and drinks on site, and soak in some great live music before the screening begins!
