Judy Blume’s beloved young adult novel Forever is reimagined for a new generation, centering around two Black teenagers who experience love and intimacy for the first time. The idea of “forever” is not always guaranteed, as their relationship is impacted by parental pressures and growing pains of adolescence. This is a screening of the fifth episode, where Keisha, the female love interest, and her best friend, Chloe, leave their home of Los Angeles to spend part of the summer on Martha’s Vineyard, where notable turning points in the series unfold.
