JOHN CRAIGIE

Thursday, August 27 | 7 PM
The Old Whaling Church, Edgartown

with opener Laura Cantrell

For over a decade, John Craigie has built a devoted following through songs that feel like conversations, rooted in sincerity, humor, and storytelling.

His new album I Swam Here, out February 6, 2026, on Zabriskie Point Records, was written and produced by Craigie and recorded between New Orleans and Astoria, Oregon. It blends collaborations with musicians from both sessions, including members of the extended circle of the group The Deslondes, and longtime friend Anna Moss, creating a sound shaped by both Gulf Coast energy and Pacific Northwest stillness.

Following his 2024 album Pagan Church with TK & The Holy Know-Nothings, Craigie continues to expand his sound while staying grounded in the storytelling that defines his work. Known for his engaging live shows and extensive touring across the U.S. and abroad, he has built a reputation as a deeply connected and charismatic performer.

I Swam Here reflects a songwriter continuing to grow while staying true to the intimacy and warmth that first drew audiences in.
