A NEW KIND OF WILDERNESS

Dir. Silje Evensmo Jacobsen | Documentary | Norway | 2024 | 1 hr. 24 min. | Norwegian and English with English subtitles

A Norwegian photographer and her British husband live off the grid, raising their four children in harmony with nature, but when a tragedy forces the family to adapt to modern society, they transition away from their idyllic life on a farm in the forested wilds of Norway. The winner of a grand jury prize at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, this film delicately and compassionately captures the family’s vulnerability and resilience, while grappling with larger questions surrounding their choice to live differently.

Tickets for this screening are general-admission and pay-what-you-can. The suggested ticket price is $20. If you can pay more, we greatly appreciate it!
