INDIAN LETTERS

September 17, 7 PM
The Grange Hall, West Tisbury

This workshop performance by Thresh is copresented by Cadenza Artists, Works & Process, The Yard, and Circuit Arts

An immersive digital-theater project, this is a collaboration between Preeti Vasudevan, the artistic director of New York-based arts organization Thresh, and Amar Ramasar, a former principal dancer at the New York City Ballet. In it, two people, both dancers, rediscover themselves through a dynamic dialogue of cultural exchange. By asking the question "where is home?" they cast new light on issues of race, assimilation, faith, and identity in the twenty-first century.

Preeti Vasudevan will be in residence at The Yard September 10–18, working with Circuit Films filmmaker Danielle Mulcahy. This will be one of a few residencies ahead of their premiere showcase at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in 2024.
